SEO in its simplest form is taken a number of steps to a search engine friendly website and it will appear in the search engines. At a more advanced SEO can be implemented to enable the site in question ranks high in search engines, preferably in the first positions.

The reason it is desirable for a site to rank high in search engines, making it to get free organic traffic from search engines. This traffic is very relevant and useful, because people who come from search engines are already in what they want and most likely to check on the website of interest.

Remember, ultimately, a search engine should bring relevant information to its visitors. As such, search engines have very intelligent, in order to determine whether the content is relevant to the search term. When you focus on providing high-quality content on your site, you are on a good start so far relates to SEO.
